I learned this the hard way.. I was lowered on Tien S tech Z springs with aftermarket 20s... Looked great and felt fine... Took the wheels off too change it up and I didn't even realize how bad it was....

SPC is the brand. You can get it from conceptzperformance.com, or most retailers that cater to our platform.

Best way (look it up on YouTube) it to get a carbide drill bit that will cut sideways, trace the stencil and start carving out the aluminum framework. Electric is best; air is too powerful (it can get 'away' from you, and battery will have you doing it in stages. Be sure to wear long sleeves and eyewear, cuz those metal shavings get everywhere.

I have a bunch of different grinders and carbide bits. I don't expect that it will be a problem. I need to go under the car and check the tires again. I just got the Rays locking lugs and still have the Eastwood fender roller so it will give me an excuse to get out there and do it

UPDATE:
About 1000 miles down now on the new suspension and I love it. Definitely recommend this setup for the g35 coupe. Not too low, but still obviously lowered. The performance is great, especially compared to the obnoxious bouncy D2 ride on the highway and side roads here.

Still sitting at 25.25" from fender lip to ground on all 4. did not sag or settle a bit.

Also checked the tires today, no abnormal wear on the rear at all. The front looks like I need a toe adjustment.. there is some feathering. No camber wear at all.

Buy this setup if you want a capable GT performer that is a simple install and no fine tuning.

Does the front get scraped much? Did you need to roll the fenders?

The only reason the front scrapes at all is the lip added on, and only if I pull straight into my driveway quickly, or mainly backing straight out of it. No fender rolling needed.

Quick question: on the front struts. Do you have anything inbetween the bottom of the eibach spring and the top of the bilstein spring perch?

For example, on the stock setup. Theres a rubber spring seat that goes in between the spring and the strut spring perch...

Trying to find an answer to this and i cant find it anywhere and it's hard to tell in the pics id theres anything inbetween the bottom of the front springs and the struts.

To answer this question from months ago. .no rubber seat or spacer.

Several thousand miles and several months later and I still love this setup. Now sitting on Porsche 18" wheels 18x8, 18x11 with more rubber is even better. 225/45/18 and 255/45/18.

With my Inven front bumper, scraping is a non issue on any but the steepest of driveways, if you know what you are doing.

Highly recommend.

I just wanted to put this back up for those that are on the fence about what suspension to get for their G. Let me say once again how satisfied I am with this setup. I have been travelling to and from Atlanta for most of this month visiting family, attending concerts (Metallica!!! ) and driving back home 350 miles each way, and then back down taking my son to FCBarcelona soccer camp all this past week.

Staying at my brother's in Decatur and driving to Sandy Springs 4 times a day on the 285, let me say first that Atlanta beltway roads SUCK. However, I think I have the near perfect setup for this car considering the terrain and comfort I had driving it. The Bilsteins suck up the bumps, dips and ruts and just roll on. the Eibachs are good for the twisty GA side roads when you finally get off the beltway.

This series of trips over almost 2000 miles in all has actually made me like this car more. The car is settled over the bumps and maintains contact without chattering your teeth. the ride is not supple, but a sports/GT car is not supposed to be.

In addition, my brother has a steep driveway that with this drop and the Inven front bumper I never scraped.

I saw a TON of G's down there too.. and the car never failed to turn a head. Some even asked what it was, but then again it has a single Mt Fuji and that is it...

anyways.. there is my updated review

I did trim the rear spring isolator by about 3/4" to level the car since my last update.

Rims shown at Porsche 993 spec, 18x8.5 and 18x10. 225/45 and 255/45/18 tires are the perfect balance of comfortable ride and tight handling, and lack of wheel gap. the speedo is dead on also.

Stock sways and staying that way. If anything I may upgrade the endlinks only. Any stiffer bar and it would actually be too tail happy for my style. As it is I can oversteer predictably whenever I want, and it falls right back in line smoothly... over 10 yrs of drifting experience may have something to do with that

I have been on the Bilstein Eibach combo for a year and a half now and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a tight GT car feel and superb set it and forget it handling.

I took the G to the Tail of the Dragon back in November and it came alive. Perfectly damped, even running the stock front and rear sway bars, I just can't say enough about how well this setup performs. Remember I am using the 350z version of both, offering just a slight drop more than the G35 versions.

Speed bumps are no problem, even taken at speed if you hit it right. Can't say enough, so here are a few thousand more words.

I'm with you about the stock sways, I've gone back and forth about buying the hotchkis ones but the car handles SO PREDICTABLY with just the perfect amount of oversteer and I'm afraid to swap them out for something else.

Can't fix perfect...

agreed. can't fix perfect. the oversteer is available and so predictable, and the car corners flat enough for a daily driver that it's one expense I don't need. I haven't replaced the end links yet, but should be soon. Probably staying with OEM there as well.
