Another curb hit
Hello again,
Due to shitty weather I hit the curb yesterday (and yep, VDC on and no drifting on G35x). I was going around 20mph on a steep road and didn't manage to turn which was a surprise for me as (I think impact speed was around 5-10mph), I was just going forward and what I managed to do is to turn the car parallel to the curb and first I slightly hit the curb with my front wheel (which seem fine and I hope it actually is) but the main impact happened to the rear wheel. The tire didn't blow and the rim doesn't look bent so I managed to drive home with VDC/SLIP lights on and wheel turned to the right because my rear wheel is "slightly" out of alignment. I jacked up the car, removed the tire and found only one bent piece which is part number 551A0-AL500 (what's the other name of it btw?). I already checked if I can remove the lugs and my result seem positive so I ordered the OEM part and will try to install it asap and then do the alignment, however, I'd also like to check if you think anything else could be damaged here as well?
Thanks.
P.S. And yes, the tires are bridgestone potenza on 17" rims. If I had goodyear ultra grip winter like I had on my TSX I wouldn't be posting this.

BTW, I wonder, maybe it would be better for me to jump onto the curb with two front tires? What do you think?

I'm asking if there was any sense to hit the car like that: first front left wheel a bit, and then rear wheel with bigger impact, instead of that I could've hit the front left wheel and then front right wheel, i.e. direct impact instead of parallel one because initially I was going straight to the curb Maybe I didn't have any damage if I just hit the curb straight?

I guess I have no other choice.
I've been researching tires and my tires are on the last place here: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/survey...earDiameter=17 What can I say? Maybe I'm lucky that didn't jump off the cliff because of them? That would be lotta fun. I'm changing this piece of this and throwing them out as soon as my car is back on the orad.

That's actually worse IMO because it could've damaged your front bumper, screwed front alignment and suspension, and possibly mess up the undercarriage if you went over the curb.
Would be worse if there was a cliff past the curb
