Lightest/Lightweight rotors for 2005 G35 Sedan 6MT

I will be in need to replace my rotors out this year and since I am also looking to shed as much weight off the car (practically), I am looking at what are the lightest weight rotors, or just something that is significantly lighter than stock oem. Looking for reasonable costs, nothing way out there as I dont track, race, or go over 100mph or such, only used for driving to the store and back and in traffic! I have the non brembo, larger brake rotor version G35. Looking for suggestions

If you're not racing or tracking the car, why are you so concerned about lightweight rotors? Choosing from among the mainstay rotors out there (premium centric blanks, etc.) should meet your performance needs, and you don't want to go so light that you lose durability, which is an important consideration for the street, especially braking in lots of traffic.

I don't think there's a meaningful weight difference in the one piece rotors out there. Going to 2 piece rotors like dba's would save you a couple of lbs per rotor, but those are going to get expensive.

Lightweight rotors and reasonable cost don't really go together.

I don't think there is a 2 piece rotor option out there for the non brembo brakes.

Seems to me you're doing it wrong.

Actually I am doing things right, I just swapped out 27lb Kuhmo Esctas for some new 22lb General GMax AS-03, what a immediate and noticeable difference! As soon as I got behind the steering wheel. Car feels lighter, smoother. Definitely quicker, car pulls harder than ever before and through the entire rev range, to me it feels like I did engine mod or tune with better handling/braking as a bonus. I can definitely feel the extra power that was being lost before hitting the pavement now!

Skip the 2peice rotors, no interest.

Can anyone suggest better rotors than stock that are also known to be somewhat lighter, even by a couple of pounds is ok. Stoptech? I can't find any rotor weights online so I am looking for someone who has had both the stock and aftermarket rotors in your hands and can vouch for some some lighter than OEM rotors.

Somebody has tricked you good bud, there is no difference on a street car to notice a big difference from a minor change like tire weight or "lightweight" rotors. Consider bias ply tires next, they are even lighter by your logic.

You must have never done this before, as I have done this many times over the past 20+ years of driving with many cars with rims/tire combos. 5 pounds lighter tire weight per wheel (or 20lbs total loss on 4 wheels at the most important place on the entire car, at the tires, where the rotational weight actually means the most, then rims, then rotors....., so I definitely picked up lost HP/TQ if I had done a before and after dyno) and is a noticeable gain both on steering and acceleration and braking. It makes driving in the city and hard turning and such more smoother and effortless than before, makes me want to go out and drive the car more than before. I was considering getting the Mrev2 and Kinetix plenum but now I am not considering those (I am 100% stock except k&n, I dont want to start running lean and need tunes, etc no time for that stuff) as the small performance improvement I got from the tires was what I was looking for from the car and I feel happy with how it performs now.

I think the question's already been answered. You're chasing diminishing returns when it comes to comparing 1-piece rotors. You won't notice any difference.
