shock absorber question

What would happen if I used non-sport tuned shock absorbers with sport-tuned springs on a G35 coupe? What do you think the worst that could happen is? The technical differences between the two shock absorbers...

non-sports:
Stroke : 5.32
Compressed : 19.05

sports:
Stroke (in) :4.53
Compressed : 19.48

So the question is just how much different in ride quality would you expect with the stiffer shocks if i used a new pair of non-sports shock absorbers.

Nothing would happen but a shittier ride. Why would you do that tho? The only reason I can think of is that you found some used shocks somewhere and youre thinking about swapping them. In such a case I would strongly urge you not to. Using used suspension parts is not recommended unless you're going for some low mileage, high quality coil overs.

There are plenty of very affordable options for new shocks for the G. Look on rockauto.

I accidentally installed the wrong pair of shock absorbers onto my car. I'm trying to figure out if it is the cause of my bumpy/shaky ride. I'm not using used-suspension parts. I purchased new shock absorbers (from rock auto), but they are supposedly for non-sport tuned suspension.

When you say shitty ride so it could explain why my ride is so bumpy at really low speeds?

Oh, I see. Well, yeah, I can't say that it should be a bumpier ride, but it certainly wouldn't handle as well. They will most likely fail earlier too. Are you on stock springs? If sport springs are stiffer than normal, I could see the ride being bumpier with non sport shocks cuz you wouldn't have the same recoil. After my non sport shocks failed (with eibach springs), I changed to sport shocks and noticed a HUGE difference. I'm really not sure if sport spring rates are different tho or if it's just the shocks that are stiffer.

(Sorry for late reply, I don't come on here as much these days)

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
OP bite the bullet and buy the proper shocks. You can probably sell your nearly new pair for close to what you paid for them.
