Seriously. We have four stickies dedicated to how wheels look on different colors but nothing on susupension. Plus I think this forum needs to be split into two sub-forums, one for performance related and the other for bling.

Great thread. Im curious, are these numbers exact and up-to-date? i get different drop and spring rates for the tanabe DF210 from different sources.

Hmmm, in rechecking the Tanabe web site that has full spring specs, the only differance to the companies own spec charts on all their springs that I list is a tiny change in rear ride height on the coupe DF210 spring, I show 1.2", they now show 1.3". Spring rates all match what I show. The problem lies in Tanabe's own description's for each spring line they offer, they use generic terms to describe each spring that are offten used by resellers as if the terms are fact. As a example.

"The DF210 coil spring offers a large drop, while retaining superb ride quality characteristics. The spring rate is raised 10-15% to compensate for the shortened amount of suspension travel, without over stiffening the spring rate and affecting ride quality and shock lifespan."

Fact is, specs that show the DF210 coupe spring is Stiffer or softer then oem springs by F-2% R+3% , hardly 10 to 15 percent stiffer.

I will change the rear DF210 coupe rear lowering spec to reflect 1.3" of rear drop.

I think your asking about oem spring rates. Since all 2003 G35's were delivered with oem 17's or 18's, your car has 314/342 spring rates. If that's not what you wanted to know, please give me more detail.

Looking at their coupe spec spring rates, I'd go with Hotchkis 350Z springs instead, you'd get a 1.1"/1.3" drop, which 1" swift front drop will mean front camber correction. I would recommend Tein 350Z H-tech's, which would drop you about .8"/.7", but from my own experience your rear shocks won't be totally happy with them.
