DBA's 4000-series rotor is their mid-range enhanced performance rotor. It features Thermal Stability Profiling for improved heat handling and Thermo-Graphic paint markings for effective heat monitoring.

The 4000 series rotors incorporate the innovative Kangaroo Paw ventilation design.

- Patented 'Kangaroo Paw' ventilation design for heat dissipation
- XG150 High Carbon Alloyed Iron increases the thermal capacity properties of the rotor
- TSP (Thermal Stability Profiling) prolongs the service life of the rotor. This process is only applied to HEAVY DUTY, 4000 Series rotors containing XG-150 high carbon alloyed iron
- Protection paint on hub and non friction surfaces
- Heat paint markings change color to monitor peak braking temperatures

Any actual proof behind any of your claims? Like comparison of Kangaroo Paw vs Straight or Pillar Vein or Curved Vein ventilation, or heat handling comparison between a TSP treated rotor and standard OEM rotor.

Good question.

First thing - these are DBA statements not KNS. But we can certainly clarify and add.

-OEM Z/G rotors are also of a pillar vane design. So we need to clarify that in the details above.

-DBA does make their own rotor -from the castings to the final machining. It's not a modified mass production rotor. This allows for better material control, tighter casting tolerances and production methods and the ability to R&D these processes to optimize performance.

Our experience w/ the rotors in extreme conditions verify much of it. I have a C5Z06 track car - Hoosier tires/full race pads etc - and we get significantly better life out of DBA rotors than we did using regular blanks. Multiple times more in fact.

On a street car these rotors should look good and provide great braking and a long service life.

One note - these are DRILLED. That unfortunately means NO HARDCORE track use. No drilled rotor will take that very well.

Hope that helps! These rotors are a steal at these prices. You can barely get a generic rotor for that cost.

The price is great. I was really just curious. Brembo claims their high carbon rotors are the best, RacingBrake claims their patented curved rotors are the best, StopTech claims their cryo treating is the best, AFCO claims their precise pillar design is the best, DBA claims their kangaroo paw is the best.

Never once have I ever seen a manufacture back up any claim with any proof that they dissipate heat better than OEM.

As a consumer I can certainly understand your apprehension at reading marketing drivel.

And I agree - because " wtf everyone cant be the best"

One thing we can add however is some pretty good experience that we have learned over time. (10 years in brakes - and I am a degreed engineer)

Right now I have to do some orders etc - I'll add some comments as we go.

No doubt the OEM rotors are one of the best made for the car.

At $3xx per rotor however - well that is a ripoff.

They defiantly seem like a great value for the money. I actually have the DBA 4x4 T3 rotors on my Jeep Wrangler (because they were much cheaper than OEM). I also paid much more than you are selling these for. I guess for non track purposes it really would make no difference.

I have this exact set of DBAs on SLICK and they work and look great. Quality rotors will lengthen the life of your pads too which is always a plus!
