Leasing ?s G37 Sedan

Hi guys 1st post here...

Ok here is my situation, around next February (I know this is a bit of a ways away but I want to be settled on a decision by then) I should have my truck paid off. I want to keep the truck for truck type duties but I will want a nicer vehicle at that time. I love the specs on the new G37 sedan and based upon that and my dads good experience with his 04 g35 sedan I'm pretty sure I want one. Also I decided that because of how volatile auto and oil industry is I just want to do a 24 months lease and then reassess everything at that time. Plus I only drive about 8-10k miles a year

So assuming that G37 can be had for about $500 over invoice with relative ease what do you guys think I would be looking at payment wise on a G37 Journey sedan w/ sport, premium and navi with little to no down payment?? If it helps I'm located in Dallas.

Also any estimated fuel figures yet for 7A trans? Thanks for the help. JP

Welcome!

It's hard to tell since we have no idea yet what the residuals and money factors are for the 2009's. If everything stays the same as the '08s then you can probably use the 08 figures to determine those numbers. The trim on the vehicle will also influence your residuals. (In most cases, base trim Journey levels have better residuals than the Sport).

Now, if you were purchasing, i could help you with the #'s since that's fairly easy

Thanks for the reply. I thought about purchasing but to get the payment where I want I would have to do a 60 to 72 mo note and that's just too long for me.

Anyways I assume there will be about a 500-1000 dollar premium on a comprably equiped 09 vs an 08 so assuming that and using 08 figures as a basis can I get the car I want for around $500?

I think the premium will be more than that, the 2008 is technically selling for under invoice in most cases nowadays due to the incentives.

The price over invoice for 2009's will depend highly on the dealership you'll work with. Some will go for 500 over invoice, but it'll be hard.

Then again, some would argue that bargaining the price is moot if all you're doing is leasing.

Check out this thread, it'll give you a good idea of how much you will likely pay. Assuming everything an 09 = 08.

Everyone loves to compare leases. Rates may vary by region, and there is no telling what the residuals and rates will be at your time of purchase. The best you can do is order a car for when you're ready about 4 months in advance.

Where are you located?

Also, check out my 199 lease special. I absolutely guarentee that you will not find a better deal, nationwide.
