Hello and first time post

Greetings to all from Albuquerque and hope you're all surviving the winter..

I've been lurking for a few months while I do my homework and waiting for my sister to buy my 2002 4Runner so I can finally buy a 6mt coupe.

One thing I noticed.. two things actually..

1) dozens of 2003 coupe available right now.. Maybe folks are bailing out before some major repairs, or the got their fun and want to move on. I don't know... I'm actually looking for a great 2004 but 2003's are everywhere..

2) And along with that are TONS of salvage titles on this model.. I've bought lots of used cars, I'm 52 and owned maybe 5-6 used cars in my time. ANd I've never seen a model search come up with so many salvage titles.. My girlfriend thinks it's the speed of the car matched with careless younger drivers but who's to say ?

And finally, just like the BMW's I was looking at before deciding on this, some guys are waaaaaay out of line on their pricing.. In my opinion of course.. Just cause it a bad *** ride with a 6 speed doesn't make it worth 15 grand :-)

Opps, that makes three thing..
Thanks everyone, and happy new year..

Welcome

1. Many have moved on to newer rides. That may be why. I recommend 06-07 models. Why? updated interior (started in 05 so that may be an option) headlights tail lights, front and skirts. Also get bluetooth etc.

2. Not sure why so many salvaged titles. Maybe because they are a lot more affordable and a lot of the younger crowd can't handle the car?

3. Keep searching. Private deals yield better outcomes. Dealers rip you

05s have it too. I'm a victim. 07s are the best year imo
