12,000 miles in one month? Whose G35 does that?

Skeptical. Worried. 12,000 miles in one month? Whose G35 does that?
I have been looking for a pre-owned G35 for a long time, but I live in a "used car desert" midway b/w LA and SF. So my local NissanBMW dealer has a 1-owner 2004 G35 Coupe for just over 10k. I had their service department send me the pre-sale inspection/repairs and can see that they replaced brakes and rotors, tires, and other more routine maint. Here's my concern: the Carfax shows the mileage on 12/31/2013 as 68,852 when it was smogged and became dealership auto, yet by 2/ 05/ 2104, the odometer reads 80,100. Is is possible for that car to be driven almost 12,000 one month? I'm confused and alarmed with this discrepancy. Any ideas? Here is the link to the dealer : http://www.coastnissan.com/inventory...456380-b14190a
I'm totally Love-struck by G35 but....am I buying trouble?
thnx

Odometer issue a Deal-Breaker??? Help!!

Is it possible for that car to be driven almost 12,000 in only one month? I'm confused and alarmed with this discrepancy. Is it possible that maybe the instrument panel experienced issues and now the odometer reading is wrong? Any ideas? Here is the link to the car: http://www.coastnissan.com/inventory...456380-b14190a

Those mileage entries are about as accurate as the idiots fat fingers entering the numbers. They can be inaccurate quite often. I just bought a 2003 G35 with the same issue and it was all messed up because of some fool Infiniti advisor that would randomly enter wrong car's info on the wrong account . if the rest of stuff seems to match up and it looks good, I say go for it

I posted in ur other thread also. Don't go completely by the car fax. The mileage entered by fat fingers at a smog shop can be wrong quite often. Try to find a service history. If it's at a Nissan dealer, they should be able to look up via Vin to see if it's ever been to any dealer (Nissan /Infiniti) and the mileage and date. That might be a better clue to real mileage.
