A G35 for a first coupe?

Hey everyone,

This is my first post so go easy on me! Im 18 and Im looking to buy a G35 coupe (2003) for my first coupe/ sporty car. Ive already been driving for about a year, and I currently drive a Pontiac Vibe (2006) but Ive always been into speed and the Vibe just doesnt cut it lol. I am completely in love with the idea of a G but my biggest problem is- the high sticker price. It is better than every other coupe i have looked at in every aspect apart from the price, which makes sense. Im not complaining about the price but considering I have a budget of around $6,000- $7,500 maybe $8,000 tops. Is there any way that buying this amazing car for my first coupe possible? Or should I give up and buy some Civic coupe? thanks for your time

Id give up. In that price range youll get a old g35 with like 125-150k miles

Save up and find a 06-07 with under 75k miles. I picked a 07 because the interior and extior looks x10 better. 03-05 are old styles

Dont buy a car you cannot afford to repair. Best bet for 8k is get a used mustang.

Im a relatively careful driver mind, I never put so much as a scratch on my current car. And Ive heard a lot about how G35 are pretty good as the miles rack up, so I thought itd be worth asking. Is the mustang really the next best thing compared to the G?

Be patient. Save ur money for something nice. The cheaper the car u buy, the more often and expensive the repairs

it seems like you are looking to pay full in cash for the car? why not just put like 4-5 grand towards a nice one with low miles? if you plan on keeping this car for a long time then its a smart investment. ive owned mine for over 4 years now and i still love every minute of it.

AND NO DONT GET A MUSTANG LOL save upppp xDD

So a better idea would be to get a cheap camry or something for like 4/5 then keep the rest of the cash+ save up a newer G35? Im really not trying to stick with a tacky rental car for too long. lol I liked the idea of the mustang at first I was actually looking at those before I had my heart set on a G35 but I would be getting a V6 for Gas purposes. What would be a good car to get thats not boring? I haaate boring cars (which is why im so set on a G35)

What. They're cheap right now.

OP buy a civic. You could prob find a civic si for 10k if you save a bit more and look hard enough

You want a fun 2 door for 7k?

Best bang for the buck. Tons of fun, great community, amaizng vehicle to learn to wrench on, very cheap parts and insurance and best of all; when you sell it in a year or two, you will get probably same back that you bought it for.
