I'll be looking to buy either a 2007 or 2008 G35x in the next couple weeks or so. First, I would like to know if there are any complete differences between the two years. Also, any small details that I may prefer one year as opposed to the other. I know I remember for the 07' that i think the Ipod integration was better or something along that line. I will def be getting the technology package. Any recommendations will be great!! I am also torn on the color, one day I want black, then ivory, now i am thinking silver. I'm 21 so I really want to experiment on this car down the line.

In addition, I will be purchasing this car from a Manheim (auction) so are their any specific faults or problems i should look for while examining the car. I saw someone's post regarding the odometer lighting, so anything similar like that I would appreciate.

Lastly, when do major changes occur in the g37 series compared to the g35 (year). For example what is different in terms of interior functions and exterior details. I am aware the tran and engine is stronger but i am only interested in interior and exterior details.

My google-fu skills said that the 08 is overall better (barely) except for the voice recognition which was crapped down.

 

Do you need an X where you live? I have an X model but no need for it in AZ. I love the car either way but didn't need an all wheel drive. Now I recently bought a Porsche 911 turbo which is all wheel drive as well. Again no need for me in AZ with AWD but that car only came that way in that model.
