Urgent buying this weekend G35 sedan 6mt

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-car...sedan-6mt.html

http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/ctd/4621143528.html

So I'm back cause I secured a loan. Now I need your advice on what car between the two above. Both are same price same miles. I will be driving a lot, in and out of the car all day. I love the forum members tasteful mods and as you can see there are many. But his price for actual car is less as you can see cause it has extras I can sell. I'm not sure about the really aggressive wheels. Plus the cost of replacing tires have to be factored in as I will put 40k miles a year easily.
Now for stock, I will end up wanting exhaust and wheels eventually but might not happened for a while cause I can't afford! But it's newer, better resale later down road. But it's stock!

Please chime in and help as I will be driving both today. Thanks!

Hey, I'm in the same boat as you, I just picked out my coupe this afternoon. So I drove two G's today, one was bone stock except for a Z-Tube and Pop Charger, and the other had an exhaust and was dropped on Teins. They were both reasonably nice, but the stock car with the stock suspension was head and shoulders above the modified one. The stock car was far more refined, better ride, better handling, didn't thump over every bump in the road, and overall the car was just way tighter. So it is my opinion that the closer to stock the car is, the better. Maybe this isn't true for every G but I think it would be a good rule of thumb. Infiniti knew what they were doing and I think they got it right for the most part. Now, if down the road you want a drop or some modifications, okay, do it, but at least you'll know exactly what's done to the car and you'll have the piece of mind that it was done right. I wouldn't recommend buying someone else's project because you just never know. So I'd say check out the craigslist car, it looks super clean and perhaps more importantly, it's totally unadulterated.

Thanks 350, but I test drove both and the one with all the mods was single owner with ALL maintenance receipts since new and all were serviced at dealer. His 03 drove solid even with suspension mods. He is a car enthiusiast with a late model vette with mods and a AMG Benz in his garage starting on mods. He's very straight up and is solo owner since new. Tough decision for sure but I did agree to buy his car but he has to get it smogged first with all his mods so I really have till Tuesday as all banks are closed. I do feel more comfortable meeting with him and especially knowing he loves cars and does not abuse them. Plus he's older and not some kid in his 20's But thanks for your input and greatly appreciated!

If it drives right, then it drives right, that was just my experience. It sounds to me like you may have already made up your mind, or you're at least leaning towards the first one. Above all else you should buy the car that you feel is right.

Hey 350, so what year did you get? I've owned a track BMW E46 330i with V2 coilovers so I know how cars with suspension feel. Of course its not at solid at stock suspension but done right its all about the handling. Yes I've agreed to buy car but nothing is said and done till money is exchanged and title is handed over so I have time to mull it over. Truthfully I think I should get his price down a few hund because rear bumper has low impact bump from another car and well scratched so its not super clean. If it wasnt for the bumper it would be clean. But like you said if it drives right then it does. What did you pay?

Ugh, I don't want to say what I paid, or am going to pay rather. About 1000 dollars more than I think it's worth but it is super clean and I'm impatient. It's a 2006, I'm paying roughly 14k for it, we have some final details to work out though because he has to fix the lock actuator or the driver door so I'm waiting on a quote for what that will run. '06 Coupe, 6mt, Diamond Graphite Exterior, Black Interior, 19" Rays, Nav, all of that, and they're actually kind of hard to find around where I am so I figured I might as well grab this one while it's still available.

If it was a choice between an 03.5' or an 06' mods or no, it's a no brainer for me. But then I like to do my own mods and I wouldn't trust anyone else's. A newer car is always a better buy if the money is the same.
