Need help buying first g35
Ok so I'm looking to buy my first car l and Ive looked at many Nissan Maximas and the only thing that's stoping me from getting one is the transmission problems so I've found this 2004 g35 with 142k on the dash I don't wanna buy one and wind up with a lemon but I know it has the same engine as the maxima but a diffrent tranny it's an automatic so can any one else help me out with some heads up

G37 coupe 19" rims on it, and someone stole the market lights off it as well. Center console lid looks messed up as well.
The 3.5L does suffer a bit from oil consuption issues. At first it was mostly a 6MT issue, but now with these cars at 150K or more, it's an overall issue inherent to high mileage vehicles.
Car is in the ballpark, especially with the coupe rims on it. I'd try for 4000-4500 however.
Of course I'd also assume no service history and everything would need to be gone through as well. Transmissions are generally strong on these cars, but at 142K it's hard to know if regular fluid flushes were done, or it still has original fluid in it.
