Buying help needed

Basically I am wondering is it better to go with Age/Less miles or New/More miles. I really like the body style of the 2007+. 2008 infiniti g35x $9000
http://baltimore.craigslist.org/cto/5262857072.html or 2005 infiniti g35x $9500
http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/5231217135.html the first one has 113K and is a 08 and then you have a 05 with 71K. I could get the 05 for 8,500 without the rims and maybe talk him down a bit more hopefully. I would like an aux port and aftermarket touchscreen radio installed into the 05 if I choose that car to throw out there also.

Well if you like the newer style more I think that answers your question. always try and buy the cleanest G, with the lowest miles. that being said 113k isn't a whole lot, just make sure they are up to date with the services. Also, any reason why u are going auto instead of 6MT?

a lot of back street driving, also I prefer the AWD for my state. I think all Xs come in Auto if I am not mistaken. You think that is a good deal for 9K? 113K isn't really that bad you think also?

It all comes down to preference. 113k miles isn't a lot so long as it's been properly maintained, our cars are Nissan at heart and can last 300k if taken care of. your best bet would be to check them both out and see what fits you best. Also be sure to not be in a huge hurry, if something bothers you about one or both of them, there's always another G out there somewhere

Go newest with least amount of miles you can afford

There are exceptions of course, but most often than not that rule leads to a better decision

To me, miles are miles, whether it is a 2013 or 2014 etc. What I really look for is *generation* so ideally you want an older year model of a newer generation (if that makes sense). If not generation, I look for significant updates to the vehicle, but if there are no significant changes between a 2014 year model and a 2012 year model, I'll opt for looking for a low km 2012 model because I know I'm getting the same car for a lower price.

For those in Canada, check out my website (www.motocharts.ca) and click on the History tab for a vehicle - there is typically good information on vehicle year-to-year changes... but you can also checkout kbb.com to see what has changed.
