Always ready to help a fellow Bluenoser.

I'm going to detail mine in the next 3-4 weeks and try to give Shane a run for his money!

For those who have been talking about polish here, i saw at canadian tire they have the meguiars in 3 steps in the red bottle or the beige professional bottles with 3 steps with both being the same price. Does anyone know which would be the better choice for polishing my car

Good stuff Deane, looking forward to seeing some pics of your G. As for a run for my money, you'll do an amazing job I'm sure.

I don't have any personal experience with those products, however I do know that their Step 2 is a waste of time and money. If you do end up going that route, skip step 2 and buy their step 1 and 3 only. The reason I say that is that their step 2 has zero abrassives whatsoever and is not a real "polish". The Step 1 however does have some mild abrassives and might remove some light scratches by hand. Removing paint imperfections is always best done by machine though. Good luck.

Hahaha, thanks man. Spending that amount of hours is nothing uncommon for me with my own vehicle or customer vehicles so I don't mind it at all.

As far as the golden flakes you are seeing on your IP G, a clay bar will probably remove them without issues.

LOL, I was just posting the same thing about the golden flakes Shane. I agree a clay bar should work on that. I used to get that once in a while with my Ivory Pearl Maxima and the clay bar cleaned it up perfectly.

I started claying my X yesterday and I was going to finish today then the rains came .

Good stuff Wayne. I just love claying my vehicle and seeing all of the surface contamination (that isn't visible to the eye) that comes off of it.

I did a customer's BMW last weekend and it was actually the first vehicle I've EVER had to use an entire clay bar on. It was brutal. This is a pic of just a 1' X 1' square done on a single panel. Crazy!
