So, is it possible that if a set of headlights were purchased (say from a dealership in Canada) or swapped directly off a Canadian '06 G35, that this mod would NOT be necessary?

Al

PS. Eric, I think I'm picking up a set - in a couple of weeks - can you help me out with this mod? Or should I talk to Larry (is he a GTA member too?)?

I don't think swapping the 06 headlights from Canada will work. And Larry is from Ottawa look through the registery in Canada. I lost his contact he was the one that helped me. Also I think Iciban has the electrical skemetics ping him to see if he still has it.

Guys this is the correct diagram on how to wire the headlights. Mind you I am no electrical engineer but anyone that knows electrical should be able to wire it.

In my previous post I have already alter the city and signal lights so you only have the major one to do and then all is done.

I wish I could post step by step on how to do the final mod but I can't my lights are installed.

Good luck.

PS if someone is going to do the final one feel free to add on to my instructions and maybe we can make it a DYI.

That is a technical diagram, you just need to understand electrical diagram that is all. Like I said the signal and city lights diagram I have completed. IS just the main one now. I did the city and signal lights and it works so I mean if you can make out the instruction you should be fine. But if you are uncomfortable about it take it to a pro, see if he understand that diagram and all should be good.

I spoke to Jeff at www.lockdownsecurity.ca. They are the ones who installed my viper alarm. I sent him the wiriing diagram and he thinks this is something they could definitely do if one of you would be willing to bring a the headlight to him so he could take a look. He has experience with head light installations as he does HID conversions for the Mazda 3 club.
