I put a little white lithium grease on the cable. but even without it, it should be possible.

The trick is to have it run above the white plastic that is in the rail.

Takes a lot of patient, figure out the position of the cable without putting radio back in the place, that way you can see how the mechanism gets up and down and where it gets stuck.

Hope that helps,
Dracov.

Thanks that actually helps a lot. My only question now is whether or not your screen actually moves. My vga cable seems impossibly thick to run alongside that track.

Yea, my screen moves up and down.

Heres the pic that hopefully will help you position the cable.

Reading back I came off as sort of a jackass, that wasn't the intention. When I read Plastic tab i though the one to the left of that in the picture.

Thanks a lot! I will rework it tomorrow and chime back in.

Can't wait to get this thing in the car finally. Had a set up in my previous car (Prelude), and you don't realize how much you rely on it until it's not there.

Thanks Blak Max,

What brand and model are the two screens you tried...

really appreciate the help...! especially with the PIC of the stock screen... that is strange, I will take a pic later tonight of the stock screen I have, comparing the 03 04 and the 05-07 i bought by mistake... with a measuring tape... the pic you show clearly shows 7inch screen... my pop out mechanism for the 03 04 looks identical to yours....

Basically, with the unit I am trying to fit, Lilliput EBY701, I find I will have to cut out the following (in red) to get it to fit as per the attached jpeg... Did you have to do any similar cutting?

Yea I did some dremeling when I had tried to put in the other 7" screen. The screen not installed is an eBay screen from china or japan that I got maybe 8 years back. It's made by Super. The screen that I have in there now is from a portable toshiba DVD payer. Only trouble I'm having is with mother board placement. My final plans is to have this 7" screen and an 8" touch screen under it.. I may have to go with 2 touchscreens if the mother boards run smaller

hey NYQueenz... i need to finish my friends project before september as new semester starts up, so i plan to try and fit my the lilliput before that time... hopefully it helps you. so far what ive seen it will require major modifications...

where is your xenarc motherboard too big (or is it the screen)? is it too thick to fit in the housing? or too wide or long? i see Dracovs is about 1 inch thick with all the mainboards and screen together...
