How to search for OBD-II or CAN on this board?

And which sensors are exposed with either one? Thanks

Yeah this forum software has its limitations, doesn't it.

Use Google instead. No one has gotten CAN to work. OBDII works, but is limited. I use the product from www.myscantool.com.

good luck

I use the toolfrom www.autoenginuity.com I know that he is working on developing extended codes for Nissan/Infiniti and should be out in December. The developer is also the support provider and the customer service is excellent.

I used this tool on my Lincoln LS and it is fantastic. Shophom on ebay. you can usually save 30, 40 bux or so by bidding. No CAN support yet on his scan tool for Infiniti but he does have the CAN interface developed.

You can email the guy before you buy and he will answer your questions in a timely manner.

I've been using the http://www.multiplex-engineering.com T16-014 with CAN support for hardware (about $145) and http://www.qcontinuum.org/obdgauge for software (free). It works great with my Treo 600 PDA phone.

I was gonna hack the CAN functions on our cars but lost interest. I may pick it back up at some point. My current Perl script for interfacing with the T16-014 using a laptop can be found at http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...roup_id=151599

If you can wait till friday I can hook mine up and get the standard mode 1 pids. Just curious, why do you want to know?

For understanding OBD and developing software I found the following link invaluable: http://obddiagnostics.com/obdinfo/info.html

nice one again. Thanks. I had considered tooling around with dev on OBD but I couldn't find much for reference. If i do a car pc I might consider fooling around with it but I really love my scantool from autenginuity.com.

I want to relocate my obd diag port so I can keep the interface plugged in all the time.

Agai thanks for sharing your resources.

Thank you all for suggestions. I was also hopping to see something about god_of_cpu setup.

Interesting post was made today on my350z forum about Chiper and possible GB for about ~$300

Update**
about the Cipher GB on the Z forum.....

Tests are complete on the G coupe. We also worked in the Titan and Altima SE-R in case any of you have these models.

The group buy thread is now up on my350z.com.
we also have an updated parameter list at www.uprev.com
Enjoy.
