Thats an okay technique, but certainly not "showcar" IMO. Some of the key faults I see are: Only 1 mitt used, poor final rinse technique, and poor drying technique.

I know he didn't do the flooding technique or blow out all crevices with compress air or use a blower to remove all the water off his car without touching it. But he did blot more then wipe. Plus he had to do everything quick because of the sun was going down.

Also I didn't put the Show car wash. That was in the title.

Poor guy

He's not breathing heavy b/c of the fake leg, but rather that he does not get much cardio exercise due to the fake leg. If thats what you meant, then carry on.(which happens to many non-exercising able-bodied people)

I do not use any buckets or soap on my G. I use liberal amounts of water to rinse as he explained, but I use one mit for the top half of the car and one for the bottom. After each panel, I liberally rinse off the mit and the panel, and repeat for the next panel. I like that he said only make one pass to clean, which I agree with. I do clean wheels and tires last, but I do not wash in direct sunlight and keep the car wet until I finish. Then I dry as follows:

btw, he should take the nozzle off the car and use straight water from the hose which will sheet off leaving minimal water to dry. I use one of those fake chamois to dry, making minimal passes. I open each door and the trunk and dry the jambs with a towel and then open and close them to force water out. I also dry the wheels, then go for a spin around block and use the blot method to get the water that purges out of the side mirrors down the door and everywhere else(on the bumper etc.)

I remove all jewelry and make sure my nails are trim before I start.

Occasionally if my car is very dirty, I will use the same process...except I add car soap directly to the mit and shoot water on the mit to create suds......then I use this for the lower half of the car only--below body side molding level all around...and rinse each panel and the mit liberally after each panel. I also use soft water.

I also hand wax the car with carnauba wax and new applicators and microfiber towels.
I do not allow anyone to wash my car, not even the dealer.
same goes for waxing, its only done by me.

I'm not perfect, but I'm damned good
