Diff btw wax and cleaner wax
Don't know if this is a stupid question.
Anyone know what the difference is btw wax and cleaner wax? Is cleaner wax used to prep before waxing? Last edited by Cnkboy : 08-15-2008 at 01:51 PM. |

A cleaner wax has cleaner in it to help remove some of the containments on the cars body. Also has protection. You can't layer cleaner wax. It would just keep removing the layer underneath it.

If you need to clean up the finish, use the cleaner wax, then wait a couple of hours and top coat it with pure wax. You can then layer the wax coats with out fear of removing it each time.
Cleaner to prep...... Pure Wax to layer.... |
