New PB 13.49 5AT

I just got back from the track and the conditions were perfect I think the DA was in the negative.

I ran a 13.495 on street tires in a 5AT my 1/8 was 8.6.

The funny thing is I was running these times when I lived in Socal. I was turbo at the time.

My best time FI on street tires was 13.04 and my best 1/8 was 8.4 in Socal.

I ran a 14.1 at this same track last week with consistant 2.04-2.05 60ft. The only changes was the weather 55 degrees out and changing my throttle control through osiris tuner.

I can go WOT from a dead stop I guess it's similair to the Blitz throttle controller.

My mods are in my sig no power adders just bolt-ons. I also added a AEM dry filter using a MAF filter adapter.

Best time stock airbox on 3rd run of the night 13.556 2.010 60ft after this run I changed out the filter.

1st run with AEM filter was 13.495 1.9 60ft others runs 13.5, 13.6 all with 1.9 60ft after filter install.

thanks vlad any word on a private event for you guys? Ask shawn to put the uprev tuned ETC on one of your maps if you didn't get osiris tuner V2.

Osiris tuner has the option of stock or uprev tuned ETC control. I don't know if that had anything to do with my times, but the car is definately quicker now

Congrats Derek! It's just incredible at the differences from a Southern California track to an east coast track. (I know we SoCal folks make it seem cliche with how many times we stress this...)

Awesome times man. I said it before: a 5AT, even on street tires, could run mid-to-low 13's in really good conditions.

Let me put that into perspective for you. With my 6MT, I'm running drag radials. I typically have the pressure set between 16 and 18psi. I have to do a burnout before the run, and I launch from at least 6k rpms. It takes all of that for me to get a low 1.9 sixty foot - something you're doing on street tires. That is incredible.

Having said all that - you are really close to your max ET now. There's not alot left in that sixty, even with real sticky tires - at least not on your stock converter.

And *some* people are gonna call foul on your times. One person in particular hasn't figured out that ET = traction and trap speed = power. Thank you for proving my point.

Very nice times. So you were basically running an open filter on the intake arm with the AEM filter?

I know before I moved to socal I was doing 14.2 with just exhaust, stillen cab and ts tune. I was just learning then no prep or anything.

I move to socal add more mods hoping for 13's and what do I get 15's. I learned at that time about DA.

I figure the only way to get a low 14 or get into the 13's in socal is when it's colder N/A or FI when it's not since there are no sea level tracks.

I wish socal still had Carlsbad then you would see some 13sec bolt on G35s from socal for sure.

Remember you guys are close to 13 even with the high DA imagine if you had the conditions I had or these other guys.

When are you guys going to CS again? Any private events or street legals?

yeah it was a test I was doing to see if there was a difference. I went on ebay and bought the maf filter adapter for $6.95. The aem filter was $49 longer bolts and nuts for the maf $4.

I made a generic short ram using the z-tube for a little over $60. I'll post pics in a minute.

Thanks for the kudos Trey. I was suprised myself when I got my slip. I think my fastest mph was 103

I raced a new 350z the best he could do was 14.2 he just had exhaust.

I know OCG35 personally and he knows I'm not running any power adders my car is the same as when he drove it before I moved.

I'm sure his car is capable of the same times or better in the same conditions.

I've driven his car and it is faster than mine for sure and definately after his new upgrades.

I think you guys arguement should be over. I've raced on both coasts and my best NA in socal was 14.4@98 on DRs with more mods then I have now.

Did MPH change from swapping the filter for the airbox?

Very nice times.

What exactly do you mean by being able to go WOT from a stop. I was always under the impression that if I'm at a stop and mash the gas fully, the throttle opens to 100%.

Which track was this? I'm assuming Rockingham.

the track was kinston. WOT from a stop is how uprev described it in the osiris tuner instructions. The car is more responsive now. I might go again tonight if it doesn't rain and do runs with my stock map and stock ETC to compare.

I know without it the best 60 I could do was 2.040 on street tires last week now I'm doing 1.9. The track prep was the same as last week good.

The filter didn't add any mph just quicker response I think maybe if I was in the left lane it would show higher mph. Last night I ran a 103 in the left and 101 in the right. The quicker ET was in the right.

I'll post up the slips with and without the filter later tonight.
