Nice!! I think you are in the top 3 or 5 fastest FI VQ on the west coast.

Need to get that 60ft down to the 1.6's then you will be mid to low 11's for sure.

Where is your stall at and are you launching at that RPM?

You should be launching like this Djamps has 420hp with his TT. This was a 1.64 60 ft.

Not sure on the stall. The RPM was low on the launches, somewhere around 2200-2500rpm, car boggs down in first for about a second because of that. I'm starting to look into ways to get the RPM higher when going off the line.

If your tranny is built I'm pretty sure it's between 3000-3400. Ask GTM what it is or test it out on a street.

Apply throttle until your tires start to break loose while on the brakes. I bet it's in the 3k range.

My friend with a 3200 in his Z pulls 1.6 60fts on spray I can only do 1.9 with my 2300 stall on spray which activates at 3k.

I'm getting a edge racing 3k stall in a few weeks. I think djamps was launching at 3500-4k in that vid.

why so low I think stock is 2100-2300? Is that what you wanted? I think rcdash's stall was 2800 on his built GTM tranny he had a 3400 stall, but it was too loose so he lowered it.

the only way is a higher stall or launching off idle. Doing the later runs the risk of breaking a axle because you are not pre-loading the drivetrain.

You have the tire you just need the RPMs to launch harder with more tq.

My build was tailored towards OEM drivability. Knowing what I do now, I probably would have went with a 3K+ converter though.

from what im told you can't feel the difference with a 3k stall. I think you should give Andre at edge racing a call they build them to your car specs with the stall you want.

My friend with the Z has a edge racing 3200 stall and I couldn't tell.

Basically GTM built everything else except your converter.

I know they didn't build the TC. I have no intentions on swapping out for a much higher stall since my car is not built specifically for straight-line performance. So, I'll keep my slow 60ft for now.

At least you are in the 11's with a slow 60ft.

Here's some pics of the G. It's a stock 5-speed auto 2007 G35 Sport sedan. It did 13.6 @ 102.2 as best time bone stock.
2.114 60 ft

120,000 miles needs a tuneup(not had one). P.S. the timeslips are one day ahead, the run was conducted on march 23, 2014 not march 24.

This was my first time to the track to in this car guys. I'm used to a fwd manual 300 hp car so this was a walk in the park. Just goes to show the advantages of an auto over a manual at the dragstrip.
