Need some imput on the transgo shift kit in our coupes with a/t...
so since i bought my car it slowly has seem to loose power from the tranny it seems.... so i started looking around for what to do to wake up my tranny and i came across this Transgo Shift Kit..... i no i run 275 in the back but i would think my car would still have the power to burn em up if i wanted to.... i guess just looking for some imput from some expearenced people with the A/T version of our cars..... mines a 2005 btw i dont no if it makes a diff or not....

The Transgo is an awesome upgrade but won't let you "burn em up" as you said. The G is simply too heavy and doesn't have enough torque to do that off the line, especially with the 275's you're running. You will be able to chirp the 1st to 2nd shift and possibly the 2nd to 3rd as well, but what good would that do you?

The only saving grace to your pathetic auto tranny is a transgo. WTF are you waiting for to burn rubber or actually improve your transmission shifting not because of your mad skill level clicking the manumatic shifter but the solenoids doing the work you should have been doing with a 6mt.

If you're not extremely comfortable working on cars and mechanically inclined I would not recommend attempting it yourself. If you mess it up you will have to buy a whole new valvebody.. I did mine in my M45 (same tranny), took about 5 hours. Look online for a DIY (infiniti scene has a pretty good one) and look at the pictures, if they seem intimidating don't attempt it

I am comfortable doing it I generally just don't have the time and I prefer to have someone with lots of experience to help with more complicated installs. Since I am currently in southern California, my best bet is to get someone like SxExCx to do work like that. He is the most knowledgeable person I know about the car and his prices are better than any shop I would go to. He did my wiring kit and is doing a pretty tricked out intake for me soon.
