Short Throw.

Whats a good short throw shifter guys?
Ive read threads on here all talking about the RE short throw but they don't make them anymore. Don't really wanna pay 200+ for the TWM or B&M.
Any experience with any cheaper ones like the ralco RZ? or am I getting what I pay for.

Pay up for the B&M, you do get what you pay for.

Don't go b&m. They've got a reputation for breaking. Like completely snapping if ran hard. I have a revo technica on mine. Like 100$ and 40% reduction. It's amazing. Andysautosport has it on there.

Nissan already put one in your car for free and you should learn to use it. Maybe look into a weighted shift **** that can be adjusted to the right height. You need a combination of leverage/height along with weight to be able to throw the shifter into each gear. You can try a TWM short shifter but you will greatly benefit from a weighted shift ****. Check out the TWM M1 abrams since that is the lowest height and still weighs almost 1 lb.

For all you noobs out there...READ THE FARKING OWNERS MANUAL....geez

http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/G35/

MANUAL TRANSMISSION Shifting

To change gears, or when upshifting or downshifting,
fully depress the clutch pedal, shift into
the appropriate gear then slowly and smoothly
release the clutch.

This vehicle is equipped with a short throw
shifter manual transmission
. To ensure smooth
gear changes, fully depress the clutch pedal
before operating the shift lever. If the clutch
pedal is not fully depressed before the transmission
is shifted, a gear noise may be heard.
Transmission damage could occur

Yeah.. It does have a short throw; shorter than most cases but some people like it shorter than that. I've never understood why people are so keen to weighted *****. Does nothing for me.

I've had my B&M since 05 and it's been perfect. No rattles and smooth throw. And I've definitely put a good amount of effort into throwing the shifter fast more than once. If I've learned anything from modding my g and subi, pay for the best the first time around. OP I'd buy a B&M.

Well if you're going for BEST I'd say stillen short throw. Pricey but they claim 60% so.. But that I've seen is outstanding. But if you say it's good go for it. Worse come to worse I think it has a warranty so if something does happen refund it
