Clutch Stall

Clutch Stall
So I've had my 2004 G35 for about a year now. When I first bought it. As for every car I was still adjusting to driving a 6 speed on a different car. I was used to my stangs extremely stiff clutch. Anyways till this day. When I take off from first or even in reverse. The car always seems like it's going to stall out and has a bit of a rattle till it catches and goes once I rev the car a bit higher. I have no idea if there is an aftermarket clutch or oem in the tranny. Anyone else have this problem? I've read the aftermarket clutches are a bit tricky on this car.

These cars have a dual mass flywheel, so the rattle is normal and not much you can do to get rid of it.
One thing you CAN fix is the feedback from clutch pedal engagement. Nissan/Infiniti put a big spring in the clutch pedal, this helps make it easier to press down, but the bad side effect is that you can't really "feel" the engagement point like on almost any other manual car. This combined with the fairly narrow engagement window makes even seasoned drivers feel like newbs revving while leaving from a stop or hard 1-2 shifts.
One trick people have done is to simple remove the spring from the clutch pedal assembly. You'll have to pull the whole thing out of the car to remove it.
Another option is to purchase an RJM Performance adjustable pedal. This guy started out on this forum and this is probably one of the best mods I did, just after swaybars. With it installed you get better feedback from the clutch, and you can also adjust the "engagement window" to not be as narrow.
He's still constantly revising this thing, but you can search around this forum and my350z for info.
