Coil Pack bolt hole

So I tackled my spark plugs yesterday at 86k. Went to put on one of the coil pack bolts back in and it squeaked the whole way in. It ended up being stripped out. The bolt itself is fine but not the bolt hole. I always start my bolts off by hand and get them going. Will they cause any issues not being tightened down?

Just run it in as tight as you can and leave it. You'll be fine.

If it comes loose it may cause misfiring.

Ideas on how to fix the bolt hole threads? Buying a new valve cover seems to much for this.

You could use a tap-&-die kit and try to fix the threads.

if neither those options work - determine how far down you can get it and use some washers to space it out and be able to torque it down

Thanks everyone. I am going to try the helicoil method.

Ended up installing a helicoil so I could tighten my coil pack again. I drilled out the old threads, tapped new ones, and installed the insert. After it was done I was able to torque it down nice and snug.

One thing I had to make sure and that was not drilling through the valve cover. lol.
