change the engine or no?
Hi everyone,
im pretty sure that this topic exist somewhere here but i want to open mine to be sure someone will help me.
I have a G before but i got an accident so i got a diff G around 3mon ago and its a huge problem for me now!
My engine making those weird knocking ( i know everyone posts it) but the problem not even in that knocking! My car goes slow as i dont know what, corolla 98 i think goes faster now
it takes me around 2 min to go 40mph
when i go 80mph my engine light is on and its not going faster at all!
i checked the codes and its random misfire (p0300) so i changed my spark plugs and it was okey but the noise was still on but at least no light
so after 3 weeks my light is again on and the same p0300
so i took it to infiniti dealer they looked and they told me that its better to buy a new engine but f**k its around 3k as they told me!
so my question is maybe someone had this problem before and know whats wrong with the car and what will u recommend? change the engine or something else? if yes where u think is the best place to buy it from
If u need a video of knocking im pretty sure that u all know what im talking about i can post it but i think theres no need if u know what im talking about!
THANKS a lot i will really appreciate any help!

My co-worker has a 350Z that started making odd noises. He ended up with a spun bearing. Since you're local, check out Brandywine Auto, he was able to get his engine replaced for less than $2k I believe and even walked the junkyard to pick what car it came out of.
As far as the P0300 MULTIPLE CYLINDER MISFIRE, the FSM lists the following as possible causes:
Improper spark plug
Insufficient compression
Incorrect fuel pressure
The fuel injector circuit is open or shorted
Fuel injector
Intake air leak
The ignition signal circuit is open or shorted
Lack of fuel
Signal plate
Air fuel ratio (A/F) sensor 1
Incorrect PCV hose connection
Since you also mentioned your CEL is BLINKING while you're driving, I'd recommend not driving it much until you figure it out. Sounds like something can be damaged by driving it. Read below from the FSM also:
The misfire detection logic consists of the following two conditions.
1. One Trip Detection Logic (Three Way Catalyst Damage)
On the 1st trip that a misfire condition occurs that can damage the three way catalyst (TWC) due to overheating, the MIL will blink.
When a misfire condition occurs, the ECM monitors the CKP sensor signal every 200 engine revolutions for a change.
When the misfire condition decreases to a level that will not damage the TWC, the MIL will turn off.
If another misfire condition occurs that can damage the TWC on a 2nd trip, the MIL will blink.
When the misfire condition decreases to a level that will not damage the TWC, the MIL will remain on.
If another misfire condition occurs that can damage the TWC, the MIL will begin to blink again.
2. Two Trip Detection Logic (Exhaust quality deterioration)
For misfire conditions that will not damage the TWC (but will affect vehicle emissions), the MIL will only light when the misfire is detected on a 2nd trip. During this condition, the ECM monitors the CKP sensor signal every 1,000 engine revolutions.
A misfire malfunction can be detected on any one cylinder or on multiple cylinders.
