APS TT Engine

Small tidbit of background.
My buddy bought a Z with an APS tt kit and pulled the engine to refresh gaskets and new clutch. Drove it into some water and most likely bent a valve. Also killed the tranny (synchros for 3rd are done) and clutch was toast. Engine ran beast and will still fire up and run. Has been sitting since before winter..
I have a G sedan, same non-revup vq35 as his Z.
Now, im possibly going to take the Z off his hands and swap motors (fixing the head and new clutch of course)..
Im sure everything will fit in the bay but my only concern is if the intercooler piping can be routed the same as in the Z and will the ECM be compatible with the wiring harness on my G. Is my best option to have the piping fabricated to fit the G and have the ecm tuned to accomodate the new engine?
Positive input would be appreciated. Thanks

Is the engine built? Why not just take the turbo kit off and install it on your engine?

But to answer your question yes the engine can be installed in your car, you will have to rework the piping some, and yes your ECM will have to be custom tuned to accommodate the upgrades

Yes, engine was built by APS some years ago. We tried searching for a build thread and couldnt find anything. Im sure its out there somewhere.
To take the kit off would be just enough, if not more, work than just swapping them.
Both have the same mileage but the Z engine does have stronger internals and tons of other goodies.
would my transmission hold up to it? has 160k, previous owner babied it and commuted about 40 miles a day on highway for a while

Heck yeah drop it in then. You'll even have your old engine to put back in if it blows up someday

As long as your trans is a 6MT it should be fine

ok, update on this. my buddy has kept the Z and its been sitting a while.
Ill likely get the tt kit from him. everything included: manifolds, dp, wg, bov, turbos, i/c, piping, injectors, aps piggyback, fuel pump, oil pan, and other misc items.
could i install this on my engine and have about 300-320 reliable hp?
