Im a little confuse on motor swap, I now had own my car a little over 2 years. So I'm getting a knocking noise in my engine. I rip the upper to see if the cam rod are knocking somehow, but no luck there. I did a little more research and found that people had issue with timing chain tensioner, and no that is still not the issue. So im at the point to wanting to do a swap. But i dont know if just any vq35de will bolt directly into my vehicle. I found a motor here but its from a 2004 350Z, but when i went to go check it out. i found that my 05 G35 has extra sensors that this motor didnt. PLease help guide me to direction that i need to go in.
