Replacing rod bearings on 05 G35 6MT without pulling engine

Hey guys, so just as the title says I'm trying to replace a spent rod bearing and am having trouble getting to the upper oil pan. My question is how to drop the oil pan to access it/if it's even possible to do so?

Thanks!

I haven't done it yet but you should be able to support the motor from the top and drop the front subframe and crossmember.

yup - you will need to have an engine hoist of some sort to support the engine from the top to do it this way

So, what I ended up doing was jacking the engine and supporting it with the transmission while I dropped the subframe, removed the starter, ac compressor, then dropped the crossmember. Total pain in the *** and I would NOT recommend going at it like this, but I saved myself some cash so that's always a plus.
