VK45 swap easier than a VK56?

VK45de swap?

Has anyone ever done this swap or can point me in the right direction? I understand the VK56 swap costs something around 18k but I don't think the VK45 swap would be just as pricey considering the FX and M had the engine under it's hood. Would it bolt up directly into the G? Would you need the 4.5 ecu or could you get away with stock + reflash?

Any information would be helpful!

I've only had my G35 for a week now, but if the object is to get rid of an oil thirsty Rev Up VQ35DE wouldn't a VQ37 be an almost direct swap with an additional 30hp?

Yes it is a direct Swap! Jk. Any time you go to swap motors you have a lot of wiring to deal with. No matter what your always looking basically at a new motor and a new Transmission. Unless you completely understand motors and swapping everything (most dont I dont even know it haha) you are almost always looking at 3-5 in labor. Then 1-5 in the motor and Transmission. Then you have wiring harnesses and all that fun stuff. IF I WERE TO DO A VQ37 swap... Which I have thought about doing and then doing twins on it and a COMPLETE interior upgrade... That is what I would do. I would upgrade all of my interior gauges and all of that fun stuff... But its not always cost effective. Most just sell their car and BUY a g37. Much cheaper and reliable outcome.

Why not simply go either turbo or supercharger. You'd get same amount of HP and it'd be cheaper in this case. Plus motor swaps of this type probably would be a one-off...do you want to be the guinea pig?
