GROUP BUY: SxExCx Grounding Kit

History of the SxExCx custom grounding kit -
Back in 2005 when I first bought my G, I was eager to learn about what cheap and easy mods I could do to improve the car. My search lead me to common mods like intakes, plenum spacers and...grounding kits.
At that time there were only a few grounding kits offered and one-by-one I tried them all. The first one I purchased was just terrible quality and was pretty much falling apart right out of the package so I fixed it and traded it for a set of clear corners. The next one was very nice quality but only had 4 wires and didn't make functional sense so I sold it. The third one I purchased was very good quality, the functional layout made perfect sense BUT it looked very sloppy in the engine bay. Since it was the best option at the time, I kept it.
As I started working on the appearance of the engine bay, I realized that the third grounding kit (even though it worked well) just didn't look clean enough to go with the rest of my plans.
Although I was new to working on the G, I had always been good and making just about anything so I decided to start from scratch and make my own kit that functioned the best AND installed very clean so it looked like it was tailored to the engine bay.
I researched for about 3 months and went through about 5 different designs before I made my final product. I was very happy with how it looked and functioned. I had the kit on for about 6 month and it was pretty much my own little custom mod for myself to enjoy.
I believe it was the summer of 2006 that I went to my first G meet. It was great to get together with all the local enthusiasts and share our mods and future plans. I was super surprised when everyone started asking me about my grounding kit. They asked what brand it was, where I bought it, and how much it cost. When I explained that I had made it, a couple of them asked me if I could make one for them too. I made those kits and photos of them started to circulate. Within a month I was getting PM's almost daily asking about the kit. Since I wasn't a vendor, I was limited to just selling locally by word-of mouth. After about 6 months the response and amount of PM's was so overwhelming that I decided to become a forum vendor and go public with the kit.
Fast forward to today and it is hard for me to believe what my little custom kit has turned into. Here are a few stats about the kits:
- I have sold over 1,000 kits
- I have sold kits in 6 different countries (US...including Puerto Rico and Guam, Canada, Japan, Australia, Germany, and Dubai)
- I offer 3 different versions of the kit (original, stealth, and for the V36)
- my kit has been seen in several national tuner magazines
- I sold over 80 kits in the last group buy ( https://g35driver.com/forums/group-b...nding-kit.html )
- because of the success of the kit, I believe I have the highest itrader feedback of anyone on the forum (361 ratings with a 100% positive response)
Group Buy -
On to the business...I have decided to do a second group buy for the kit for this new generation of forum members and here are the details:
- it starts today and will close on September 15th
- you have 3 color choices...RED, BLACK, BLUE
- there are limited quantities of the colors so sign up ASAP to insure you get the color you want (see 2nd post for quantities)
- the group buy is for the the original style kit only
- it is a 9-wire kits which includes the transmission wire
- it comes with EVERYTHING you need for a simple install including instructions with photos
- the price will be based on how many kits are purchased
- payment will be collected on September 15th when the sales closes
- the kits will be shipped as soon as the last payment is received
PRICE:
The kit is normally priced at $150 shipped or installed but for the group buy-
1-25 kits sold = $110 shipped or installed
26-50 kits sold = $100 shipped or installed
51-75 kits sold = $ 90 shipped or installed
76-100 kits sold = $ 85 shipped or installed

I do make custom kits to work with the Kinetix and Cosworth manifolds but this group buy is for the original kit only (as stated in the original post).
