This has been an on going issue for me the last couple months. When I start the car one daythe SES light comes on. I went to AutoZone and they pulled the P1121. I had them reset the light and it seemed OK. A couple weeks go by and it happened again. So I did the same thing. Again a couple weeks later the light comes on again. Ok now I admit I have an issue. This time I took the scanner as a loner so I could play with it and light kept coming on. I cleaned my K&N, mas air flow sensor and throttle body. The filter was really dirty so I figured that may have had something to do with it. Now today after a couple weeks later the light came on again. After a reset it seems ok again. Could the MAS air flow sensor be going bad?

its stating that the electronic throttle actuator is saying there is an issue, usually with the Z's and Muranos u had to replace the throttle body. Id go to Inifniti or Nissan, Nissan might have cheaper labor rates.

If you can find the throttle reset instructions you can try clearing the cel and resetting the throttle body. This worked for me in the past.

 

Did you have any luck with this? What went wrong?

I'm having the same issue, first I see the check engine light with a P1121, got it reset, after couple of weeks comes back again with the same code.

Not entirely sure if the issue is with the TPS sensor or the Throttle Valve.

The code says Electronic Throttle Control Actuator, but what exactly does this mean? the sensor, valve or both?

I am thinking that it could be either:

1) Throttle control valve not clean?
because I don't see any noticeable difference during driving, car still accelerates as expected.
What kind of symptoms should I expect to notice? and how long does it usually take?

Any pointers/vids on how to clean the Throttle control valve?
(I remember seeing one on youtube, but can't find it anymore)

2) TPS sensor gone bad. I called my local dealer, quoted me $222 for the throttle control valve (is this the whole assembly with sensors and all?), said the sensor doesn't sell separately.

I was thinking of trying 1) and give it a try, and if that fails try 2) by getting the valve (hopefully for a cheaper price) and get it replaced.

 

I recently got this issue with my 2003 g35. Took it to AutoZone to get the error code and they gave me P1121. My SES, Slip, and VDC lights were all on. Not sure it this will help anyone but I took my throttle body out and cleaned it and the SES light, Slip, and VDC light went out. I followed the direction from this Youtube video and it seemd to work. First day of the fix, hopefully it's permanent. I'll keep a update if the light comes back in the next few days or so. here's the video link:
