My xbox360 won't work on my tv :(

I've got a westinghouse LTV-27w2 lcd tv and I've tried many times to plug my 360 into the component inputs and no sound or picture come up. It works fine on my brother's panasonic tv. Is my tv not HD ready? I remember reading it was but idk.. is component different than HDMI or something?

Thoughts?

You need to change the input to component on your tv

Make sure the switch on the cable is set to HD, not SDTV.

Make sure the connections are all correct. Yeah, YPbPr are component connections.

Check the resolution of your Xbox and the tv. I'm guessing the tv can only do 720p since it's an LCD. The Xbox might be set to 1080p hence why it won't display. Maybe you can plug it in standard av first and mess around with the settings or change it while it's connected to your brother's tv.

Can you take a picture of the connection to the TV?

And are you sure your tv can do 1080p? Give me a link to the product page or something. Try out all the different display resolutions too to see if they work(1080i, 720p).

EDIT: Yeah, I looked up your tv and it's definitely a 720p set. Make sure you xbox is set to 720p resolution.
