Definitely, Maybe
Perhaps I might be a sap, but I really enjoyed watching this movie tonight. I thought it was a great story and an overall great movie. It's definitely a different part for Ryan Reynolds.

Is this the one where he tells his daughter the story about how he fell in love with her mom, or something of that nature?
If so, then I agree. I thought it was a good movie, as well.

I actually thought this was a great movie, as well. Ryan Reynolds' mannerisms always make me laugh.

what a coincidence... i watch it last night with the girlfriend and i have to say it was a really good movie. not so much chick flick for me but i was really curious as to who the mother was haha

I loved the story as well. Great plot but I thought the acting fell short on two parts. Before I give my non professional critque, I will add its a good mild mannered date flick. You don't have to spend too much time identifying with the characters to really enjoy the movie. However I doubt that's what the director intended.
(Spoiler alert!!!!) Ryan Reynolds is just flat in a Romantic comedy. Its hard to tell when his character takes the situation seriously. Not to mention that I never once felt attached to what his character must be feeling. More often than not I only wanted to see how things played out for his daugther. Ryan really should have roped the audience in from the beginning so that the ending of this RomCom felt at the very least like a catch-her-at-airport-before-she-leaves-forever-moment. Also I didn't feel like Isla's character had enough of a connection with Ryan's character to make the ending as solid romantically as the plot leads you to. As above some of that is Ryan's fault. However I just can't help but think Isla is going to go into Wedding Crasher's pyscho moment at any time during this film.
