Two things I never understood about Training Day
The affiliation between Roger and Denzel. They seem like buddies but don't really talk about why they are cool and what not.
Also don't get why the blood homies didn't like Denzel.

Bloods didn't like him because he had a hold on them. They knew he was a crooked cop, but because he played their games, there wasn't much they could do to him.
I believe Roger and Denzel did some dirty cop stuff together.

Roger was previously an informant (RAT!
 ) for Denzel - Bloods didnt like Denzel cauz he was a cop - movie was supposed to be based @ approx same time as Rampart scandal when there was tonz of dirty cops in LA..not like anythings changd...
