Please I use to love Sony then they lost me when they kept harping about Gran Turismo playing online and taking forever on the Ps2.

Sony don't ever change with their Gran Turismo line

Man, I played Forza for 8 hours straight after I bought it haha. Finished my Dynamics mid-term and ran to buy it and played all night ha

I was a HUGE gran turismo fan. I had all 4 for the PS/PS2. But in the time they've taken to release GT5, Forza has put out 3 games..... I was a GT fanboy but I absolutely love Forza now. And honestly, GT5 may have 300+ more cars than Forza but we all know how many variations of the Civic and Celica and all those sh!tty, undesirable cars that boost their numbers.

I'm guessing there's no R35 GT-R because Sony (Polyphony) got the rights to it. I'm glad though that Ferrari and Porsche aren't solely licensed to NFS like they were on the PS2 - sucked that you couldn't have them on GT3 or GT4

Not having the R35 isn't too bad. Although I too, was a bit disappointed. My fix? Pick up a G37 or 370z and swap it for the RB26 + AWD Drivetrain. With full mods you're pushing 950HP. Raced the Bugatti Geyron and raped it easy. The G37 trapped 220+MPH before a drag tune on the full mile, and kept pulling =).

Its fun being able to kill a Veyron, haha. Then I realize...oh snap. Its just a game.

I don't really drag much though, I've gotten into drifting, and its a hell of a lot of fun, just got to get Xbox Live.

Thing that pisses me off is you can't paint the face of the wheel and the lip seperately. I wanted gold mesh + polished lip. Hopefully they add that in later on.

My dream G37 =D

No matter what you do, you're going to increase your driver level. You gain XP (experience) points for doing races, and after you hit different checkpoints in points you'll get bumped to the next level and a manufacturer will send you a free car - they're usually pretty sweet cars.

Car level is like XP for your car, as you use one car you'll gain XP points on that one car, and as you level the car you'll receive discounts on upgrades - i think this is a pointless part of the game though. I don't think you can go past level 5 on your car and you only get 10% off random upgrades so it doesn't really make any difference

play on!

I would love to play Xbox Live. But my stupid router is being lame. Here's my situation.

I have a Ethernet cable running from a modem in another room, to my PC. This gives my PC flawless internet. I disconnect that cable from my PC, and connect it to a router. I then use TWO Ethernet cables to go from that router to PC, and router to Xbox 360.

This router essentially splits the original
"Modem to PC" to
"Modem to Router > Router to PC & Xbox"
Problem is, when I run that modem cable through the router, I get no internet for the PC or the Xbox. Which is wierd, because when I plug that modem cable out of the router and plug it back directly into the PC, internet works fine. A long time ago, I had been able to get into Xbox Live, but I had to run the Modem>PC cable straight to the Xbox 360. So it seems a direct connection from the Modem in the other room to either the Xbox or PC works flawlessly. You can see the problem in this however; I can't have internet on the PC and Xbox at the same time. The other problem is, that was a while back. Now I have the Xbox 360 in the opposite corner of the room, so even if I didn't care about losing the PC connection while playing Xbox Live, the Ethernet cable from the modem won't reach anyway.

Bad router?
Or am I doing something wrong?

I've had this problem before. I just went into the modem and checked all the settings copied them down and then went to the router and entered in the settings. If your router has an auto detect thing, please use it. It might work faster.

Sorry if this sounds dumb. Where can I find these "settings", and is there a place/program for the router where I can enter them. I know the process might be different for each router, but maybe theres the same general idea that will help get me going. Its a Linksys router, btw.

Well first thing first, if you haven't already, plug your modem to your PC. There should be an ip address on printed on your modem somewhere to access it's settings. After you copy those down, then check your router for it's ip address. Usually on the bottom where everything else is.

Usually 192.168.1.1 for the Linksys. Just open up your browser and type it in.
