Bike Transport - EX35 w/Thule Rack
Racking mountain, and occasionally road, bikes is key for me - I have them up top every week. I have used Thule racks for 16 years, and will be using Thule again on the EX. Roof rails were a must-have to be able to rack it, but I didn't want the factory crossbars as they are useless - can't mount anything to them, and they seem flimsy.
Thule doesn't have the EX35 in their online rack Fit Guide, but here's what I'm using: - 450R - Rapid Crossroad aero "feet" - grab the roof rails, $159 for the set of 4 - RB47 - Rapid Aero load bars - aluminum and aerodynamic, much better than my "old" square, black load bars, match my Liquid Platinum nicely, 47", $100 for set of 2 - XADAPT1 - XSporter Adapter 1 - allows various Thule bike mounts that are designed for the square load bars to be mounted to the Rapid Aero load bars, $12.50 per set of 2 Then I have various Thule Velo Vise and V2 bike mounts that I'll be mounting to the rack. I also have a Thule roof box I can mount for additional capacity on a trip. Here are some pics I took...not the greatest right now, and just the rack for now, since I'm waiting on the XSporter Adapters because I had to order them. I'll post more pics when I have the bike mounts on, and in daylight. I'm happy to share my measurements if you want (distance from front, distance between, etc, which is the stuff Thule tells you when the "fit" a specific vehicle). |

Nice, nice. I've seen a couple of FXes in the area that have their bike roof racked but no EXes. What am I saying...I have yet to even see an EX in the area. Your EX is a beauty, Waltaz!

Has anyone had the stock Infiniti roof rack installed after purchase or know if it's possible? My EX "Journey" model was not available with the roof rack back in March. I need the luggage space!
Thanks |

It is possible, but there is a LOT of labor involved.
