Who hates the Genesis coupe?

Saw one yesterday for the first time. Clearly a 1st generation G ripp off ! I

could care less about its numbers and how far Hyndai has come. Can't wait

to walk all over one of these things and remind its owner they should have

bought the real thing (2yrs old or so) instead of a designer - imposter,

cheap knock - off.

I went to the MT website and right at the top there is an advert for the Hyundai Sonata, it goes:

The BMW 528i has 230HP
The Hyundai Sonata has 249HP
For half the cost.

LOL, I am one to admit the BMW X28i is nothing worth writing home about but honestly how do you make the leap from a small FWD family sedan to a RWD "luxury" sedan and conclude that just because of the difference of 19HP, then the FWD family sedan is a bargain at half the price.

Hyundai, come on. How does the 249HP Sonata relate to the 260+ HP Toyota Camry, thats what you need to focus on

Vandura 3500 Engine swap to 96 Yukon/Sub

I;m looking to pick up a winter gas guzzler to murder out lol I have like a 1990? Vandura 3500 with the GMC 350 with maybe 190kms on it (110miles?)

Would this engine swap into the Yukon/suburban mounts? I'm look to drop about $1000 on the truck so kms are beastly high (300ish haha) but this 350 I have runs like a champ! It hadn't been started in over a year and all it needed was a boost and the engine started first turn. So I don't doubt GMs 350, the thing is bulletproof.

Any other trucks it might swap into? Tahoe... etc?

I'm going to paint it flat black and tint everything lol I don't really care about it looking good, it's winter I hate driving anyways. Just to express how hurtin I am, if the rear windows are tinted.... I'm painting them black lol imagine the :BOOBIES: I'll wheel in the bad boy.

My gf is shopping for a new car that's compact and under $26000. She lives in downtown SF, which street parking 24/7. We came up with the following cars:

1. Honda Fit Sport
Pro: inexpensive, easy to park
Con: ugly, very small engine, is 117hp too weak for going up hill?

2. Toyota Rav4 Sport V4 2wd
Pro: good size, height, can install grill guard
Con: weak engine? new model in 2011?

3. Mini Cooper S
Pro: Cute, cute, cute, cute, cute, good power, mini rocket, easy to park
Con: reliability? expensive?

Cars will NOT be considered at all:
- Smart car
- Honda CRV
- Scion XA, XB, TC
- Compact nissan
- Civic, Corolla, Mazda 3

I test drove a 07 335xi sedan with only 18k miles. It's certified pre owned, only way I'll buy a BMW or unless it's new. First impression, much more comfortable in G. The G has the c0ck pit feeling and seems more spacious. Infiniti did an outrageous job with G coupe as far as driveabilty, design, electronics, transmission and engine. I absolutely love it, but hate the fact that the prices on it dropped and more dumb kids are able to afford it.

Drove the 335 and first impression was blah. My G had more torque. Then the guy put the selector switch to sports mode. The torque was there and it just kept pulling. The G pulls extremely well for a naturally aspirated car, but the 335 has it beat. Not by a lot, but noticeable. On the backroads, it was just ridiculous. Tires stick and every corner was a wet dream. I just want something more practical without sacrificing performance. Drivers comfort and sports feel, the G has it beat. Everything else, I think the 335 wins it. So this Saturday I'll be crunching numbers with the BMW dealer. They listed it for 34900, but I'm trying to get them for 32000 with 1.9 financing for 5 years.

What do u guys think about the California? It feels nice but the paddle shifters are cheap plastic and the steering completely lacks feel. It's a bit too soft for my taste. What do u guys think? (excuse the amateur photography)
