Yeah, I'm spoiled.

My other car, toss the key fob in the trunk, close it, the horn beeps three times, lights flash and trunk opens back up.

My new (to me) '07 G35, arrive at airport, toss bag containing keys in trunk, close trunk, think "Oh ****, hope the trunk or door still opens!", realize nothing is opening on this now sealed and locked car. Call wife, sit down for 45 minutes while keys and grief travel to airport, resume life. :7:

I guess I sort of get why you can't unlock the trunk or doors with the key in the interior since it could be the second set left there on purpose, but not locking in the first place sure would be nice! I knew I could start the car with the key in the trunk, but apparently that's where it ends.

My '03 G35 had issues with randomly locking that I learned to be cautious of, but apparently I've got more to learn once again.

For what it's worth, the newest cars that I've read are my '05 S2000 and '04 WRX. Just to make sure, I successfully connected to my WRX a few seconds before trying to read the G to make sure everything was working (i.e., software, cable, etc.).

I had to go down to the local auto store and use their scanner which worked.

1347 and 1350 will fit the AWD model along with the 1320. The 1087 should fit as well as it only has problem with the 4 wheel steering model on the older G35. 1349 is not confirm to fit with the Borla cat back because we have never tried it with that cat back. It is confirm to fit with the MXP cat back but we don’t know the difference or similarity of the MXP to the Borla.

Thank you.
Hello!

I have Infiniti G35x sedan 2007. So far I know, most braces you have don’t fit my car, because it’s AWD,

though GTS-SUS-1320 (GT Spec strut bar) does fit.

I’m going to order this strut bar, but do you have the information about any other brace that would fit?

Some people on infiniti forums say, that GTS-SUS-1087 (GT Spec rear brace) can fit to AWD too, but I

have aftermarket Borla cat-back exhaust, so I’m not sure it would.

Hello all,

I am planning on buying a g35 after this coming winter. I want a 6 speed so from what I've seen the sport model is the way to go. Are there any major issues you have noticed with this model? I have read that the clutch doesn't hold up all that well, but that could me more of an issue with the driver than anything else. Right now I have an 05 altima with 120,000 miles on the orignal clutch. What else should I be looking out for? Any help is appreciated.

By the way, the car will be a daily driver, no tracking or anything like that, but I do tend to drive pretty hard.

Hello all !

been a while since i posted anything on the driver. i just hit 40k on the AWD.

it's time to replace some normal wear and tear items and i need a bit of help. i have the BBK from the Coupe installed and i need to replace the pads immediately. my rotors are also warped to sh** and i am not a fan of resurfaced rotors. so i'm in the market for new rotors and new pads. i know that there are a few aftermarket options out there from brakepros, hawk & project MU. any advice on what rotor/pad combo i should go with next? the G is my daily driver 20 miles each way to work. i am hard on my brakes and it is mostly highway miles with occasional high speed stops.

also my springs are starting to take a toll on my stock shocks & struts so i'm looking to replace them as well. are there any aftermarket replacements if so which ones are the best remembering i'm AWD.

at 40k what other things should i look to replace or fluids to change ?

thanks in advance guys.

They gave me the keys to a g37 sedan for a loaner car and immediately I notice big differences in the way the car drives. The car only had 110 miles on it, barely broken in. The biggest difference, the accelerator. My 07 is very quirky and sensitive. It will take off hard with just a little bit of pressure. The G37 has a firmer more traditional feel to the pedals. I like it a lot better. However, the G35 feels like it takes off a lot faster even with less HP. Maybe its because of the sensitive pedals compared to the stiffer G37 pedals which i have to mash further down to get the full roar from the engine. Also, the G37 shifts a lot smoother when I floor it. They have really improved this car in 2 years.

As for the interior, only thing I notice different, is the doors lock automatically when I put the car in gear, and two little LED looking lights by the map lights, there are only 1. Pretty sweet experience to drive the G37 model, I had a good time.:)
