so i was heading up smith st. in Waltham, which has been graded from Spring St. down to Lincoln at least, which is where i finally ended up. a block before though, at Snow Circle, there was a Water main that was sticking up out of the ground probably 6-8", and angled towards my car. now, keep in mind this all happened on a main street which intersects with an even busier main street in the early part of rush hour... and i was going thirty. unfortunately i had nowhere to go. there was a line of oncoming traffic and houses to my right, and i didnt have time to jack on my brakes.... so i just had to pray... aaaand it didnt help.
the next three things i heard were my best friend yelling "WTF IS THAT THING", nothing, then BANG as my car came back in contact with pavement...
looking at the way the hood now opens im expecting subframe damage, extensive suspension damage, the rims are bent to hell, gonna need new tires, both the plastic and the steel skidplate are ripped in half so god knows what that area looks like... one thing i know is the steering wheel is pointed dead on, and the wheels are all sorts of weird, as well as pointed in to the ground... like this... \---/ and no, my car isnt lowered and lacking a camber kit.

as i said, daytime will really clear things up... this will def be a long repair... bureaucracy being what it is... i'm sure they'll say they had signs up saying pass at own risk or something. oh well... thank god the airbags didnt go off.
really glad i didn't drop it now, i'm sure then they wouldn't cover it, saying my aftermarket suspension was at fault.

sooo yeah i macked that thing... the water main not only broke off out of the ground, and was dragged several feet with us, but the top of the pipe then popped off.
i plan on going back for it tomorrow and getting it. maybe ill have the top bronzed and wear it on a chain.

Bezels are already black with clear turn signals. Keep in mind my wheels are darker bronze and not so much gold. This is also NOT my car, it's candlestick parks totally shopped so it looks like mine lol (thanks NFSP)

First one is without the eye lids from strafe.

This one has the eye lids, they will only be on the car when I'm pissed lol they won't be on 24/7

I kind of like the yellow look.

What do you think?

Ok on tuesday night I was driving this girl home that I met from my brother's wedding on saturday for a nice way to end the night after our date :BOOBIES: when all of a sudden this douche bag hits my car in the rear right side. He hit my car so hard that my tire locks up on me and my car begins to fishtail. Fortunally for me when I was ten, my dad put me in racing.:driving: So I had the experience to avoid the three cars that were around me on the freeway and as I was beginning to regain control, we both hear a loud boom kinda noise and all of a sudden I lost total control and she begins screaming at the top of her lungs and I couldn't do nothing no matter what I tried as the car just spun around. Due to the fact of flipping a car over once when I was 17 while competing I know what are the signs that a car is about to roll over and I began to start noticing that my car was acting in the same way as it did when I rolled over before. Lucky for me my car hit the barrier on the right rear corner of the car and my front right side hit as well and my car just scrappes along the barrier for a bit. I was actually happy about hitting the barrier because if I didn't, my car would have rolled over and it could have ended being a really bad accident. Anyway, the guy takes off and I saw that everyone came to a direct stop so I was able to turn my car around which I got in **** for by the cops :CUSSING: but I was like what's the problem, I just didn't want something worse to happen. Anyway, I didn't get any ticket and the other cop is like don't worry we'll catch him because there are cameras on the freeway so we can see what actually happened. I was like okay but the cop didn't give me no report/ no info were to contact him, nothing. Well the next day I called my insurance to make a claim and the guy starts saying that I am at fault because it's just my word and that I don't have a report so there isn't any proof and I got all pissed off :31: and I told him no proof just go to the police, and he says it doesn't change the fact because in the insurance company way of seeing things I am at fault because the other guy didn't lose control like WTF. And I just want to know if anyone can confirm this or is this guy just bull****ting and trying to pull a fast on me? :dunno: Also do I have the right to ask for genuine infinity parts to fix my car because the adjuster is saying that they don't need to because my car is from 03. I was like ok but I explained to him that I still have warranty for it, and he then changed his story and starts saying that my policy doesn't have coverage for genuine parts.

The damage to my car doesn't look that bad but it is. Not only does it include exterior body work on the right side but also on the rear and front suspension. My frame also needs to be re-straighten because it sorta got misalligned. My rear suspension is completely trashed. It actually snapped in half which what was the loud boom we heard and the one in the front is badly damaged as well. Both rims and tires are damaged and so is the the front rotor as you can see in the pic. But weirdly my airbags didn't deploy which in turn made me lucky because if they had, the airbags alone cost $16,000 to replace which made my jaw drop :47: and the mechanic said that I was very lucky or else that alone would have made my car a writeoff.

A couple of weeks ago, I was driving to work (remember, I live out in the stix) and as I was coming up to a stop sign, doing about 60mph, I heard a thump. I thought I had run over a dirt clod left by a farmer (it was dark, before the time change) so I stopped an looked. The front right bumper cover was torn, the lower grill was smashed in (still there) and the inner fender liner was knocked loose. I thought I should go back and see what I hit so I turned around. As I got to the spot where I hit something, I saw a small red fox running off. I must have hit it's mate :icon43: The fox I hit had run out of the tall grass and right into my front bumper. Later that day, I noticed that there was fox shat all down the right side of my car!

Anyway, I took it to Ricks Detailing in Corpus Christi Texas (the best body shop in town) to get it fixed. The nice thing is, it's a comprehensive claim on my insurance and it only cost me $50 out of pocket. While the body shop guy was filling out the estimate, he said, "and now the front lip". I didn't have a front lip on the car when I bought it, so I kept my mouth shut and now I have a very nice "fat lip" on my car for fifty bux!

Some pix:

He even molded it in for me!

I also got a new clear bra out of the deal too.

Many props to Rick, you guys in the Corpus Christi area should get your work done there. He matched the paint perfectly (as he has done in the past) and left the car looking great.
