IN CABIN air filter change

Has anyone here changed their in cabin air filter by themselves?
I don't want to pay the dealer $100 bucks to do what should be
fairly easy. Pics?

Re: Anybody change their in-cabin air filter?

Merlin posted an attachment re removing your glovebox to replace your in-cabin filter which is just behind a plastic panel behind it.

Removing Glovebox

Looks like a bit of time involved, but not too difficult. I haven't done it myself though.

Re: Anybody change their in-cabin air filter?

Have a look in here for tips to change the cabin filter. Once you get the glove box off, it's easy.

Re: Anybody change their in-cabin air filter?

Yea, I've looked at it but I was looking for a more friendly
guide to replacement. Like a dummys guide to replacing the
filter. Merlin's post doesn't really explain all the steps involved
in removing the glove box door. Anybody done this?

Re: Anybody change their in-cabin air filter?

Getting it done by the dealer on Dec. 22 along with some other stuff I don't really need. Da well.

Re: Anybody change their in-cabin air filter?

Maybe if someone posts an easier procedure we can add it to FAQ/DIY, but that forum already has a thread in there covering this. Let's see what developes.

Re: Anybody change their in-cabin air filter?

OK, I understand the first thing to do is to remove the glove Box door.
Merlin's post mentions the "Assistant Lower Cover". It this a fancy
word for "Glove Box Door"?????

Re: Anybody change their in-cabin air filter?

Just look at the photos here for a good understanding of what needs to be done.

I just finished doing this and it was pretty straight forward although more painful than it should be...
