Seiko Velatura watch

Since there are a few watch threads here, I was wondering of someone can answer this question for me...
I'm going to Japan in March (wedding Yay!!!) and I'd like to pick up a Seiko over there...I like the Velatura line, but I can't seem to find this line on the Japanese website, America and Canada no problem...
Now, I'd like to buy it in Japan just because it's a Japanese watch, but do they actually sell it in Japan?

Thanks guys...

So, after some research, I went with the Canadian model...I'll have to get something else in Japan.
A really beautiful watch I must say...I wanted the white dial version originally, but this black one has really grown on me.

Nice. I like the black face better because of the added texture it gives.

Me too actually, now that I look at the white one, it looks a little flat.

This puts my watch count up to 2... but I feel a bit of an itch

They actually sell higher grade Seiko watches in Japan. There is quite a Grey market for Japanese market Seiko watches.

Best Regards,

Thomas Carey

I know...I tried them all on in in March!
I'd love to get a Grand Seiko, some absolutely stunning models, but at $8000 it's going to be a very special occasion.
Interesting thing, since getting my Direct Drive Velatura in Canada, Seiko Japan has released several different models to their domestic market using the Kinetic technology... the Phoenix line is pretty cool, but starting prices are around $2150...

I would love to have a Grand Seiko with the spring drive movement which I find to be very interesting as far as movements are concerned.

Best Regards,

Thomas Carey
