$179 HD DVD player with 10 free movies

Amazon HDDVD player with 10 movie deal is back:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.htm...cId=1000182111

Toshiba HD-A3 HD DVD Player is $179, 2 free movies in the box, 3 more from amazon when you buy & 5 free with the mail in rebate

Got one of these last month and it is def worth it, the movies alone go for 20 bucks each.

That's a good deal.

While shopping for Blu-Rays, I was actually surprised how many good titles are out on HD-DVD too.

That's an amazing deal. If it was available here, I would jump on it in a second. I would buy this just to watch Planet Earth in HD alone.

Did you get a Blu-ray? I am in the market also right now.

It looks like it may push HD to the side.

Just fyi, this will also "up convert" all std DVDs to 1080i, so all your old DVDs will look excellent as well.

Everything i have read recently indicates there will likely NOT be a decisive HD format within the next year or 2, so if you are waiting for 1 format to win you might be waiting a long time. Either way for $179 with the 10 movies you can't go wrong. With HD available at this price there are going to be ALOT of people on the HD-DVD format in their home.

I was doing some looking around and found that Samsung and LG both have units out that will play HD DVD, and BLU RAY. Stoll a littlte high at 700 plus, but it would cover both.
