Time for a new phone.
OK. I have decided it is time to replace my Motorola 815. I am really having a hard time deciding between a Razor V9, and one of the HTC touch phones.
I like the idea of a pda phone in being able to sync with my computer, and not having to carry my palm pilot. Also has the advantage of using as a modem for my lap top. Also I can go on line to check weather, email, whatever. They both have mp3 players and cameras. The 6800 has a slide out keyboard, easier texting. The touch has better touch screen simplifying use. Disadvantages appear to be harder to make a simple phone call, larger, harder to carry. The razor is slim and light, has MP3 player, stereo blue tooth. Also has ability to use as a GPS, and basic contacts/ calender. Ant input or experience with these phones will be greatly appreciated. HTC6800 ![]() HTC Touch ![]() Razor V9 ![]()

6800 is not that big of an upgrade from 6700, but I did have 6700 before with Verizon and I loved it. HTC touch I hear supposed to be great. I am considering it since now it looks like Verizon will get it too.

I had an 8125 which is a HTC phone. It sucked!!! You need two hands to do just about everything except dial someone from your recent call list. Had a blackjack, it sucked, too small. Had a treo, it sucked, too bulky. Had a smart phone pocket PC flip hone, it sucked, cant type long emails easily. Had the 1st and 2nd gen RAZRS, they sucked, I missed the full keyboard.
As you can tell. Im big into phones. And after trial an error, I found Im the happiest with blackberry. Good balance of features, size and ease of use. Currently have the 8300 curve and I love it!! |

if the 6800 is anything like the wing for tmobile (looks just like it)than it sucks. the windows OS makes it freeze up all the time.
ive seen the touch for sprint briefly and it looked pretty cool. similar iphone features. other than that dont know much about it. i have the razr2 V8. its a very cool phone. touch screen music player. it talks your texts. large outer screen w/ ability to read texts. 2gb internal memory. only downside i would think is not as efficient for business use like reading emails etc. if you carry a palm pilot and a phone all the time than def upgrade to a pda type phone. look into the new blackberrys. 8300s and 8800s. theyre pretty good.

If you are with VZW, you probably won't be able to tether your phone to your laptop for internet access. They are notorious for disabling phone features. That's a major reason i kicked em to the curb. I'd double check with your provider about tethering, and get it in writing if they say they allow it and how much $$$.
