Buying stocks with margin?
I bought RIMM on the margin a week ago, it was my first time buying stocks on the margin and only purchase to date. I sold it today at a lost of $200, but my margin debt is $900. Why is that? I have other stocks, but those were paid with cash. I also got a margin call, but it was cleared when I sold off RIMM.

I have bought on margin before.... It is definatly risky. I probably won't do it again even though it paid off. I know people who have made millions from nothing by doing this but that was in the late 90's when they did most of their trading.
I can't answer your question without exact figures, how much margin, terms, etc.
