JS Watches worth a look.

I want to share a small watch company that I have recently come across from Iceland of all places! =)

http://www.jswatch.com/enska/urin.html

They use specially ordered ETA movements that are a real cut above even the highest grade of ETA movements. Their designs are quite classy.

They have just set up their own discussion forum as well. The owner himself is answering questions there.

I found that some other interesting folks are owners of these watches here.

People such as Jude Law, and Quentin Tarantino.

Best Regards,

Thomas Carey

Here is the one I would love to have.

Here are some shots of the movement.

When asked how many there will be of this model. This is what the owner of JS Watches had to say.

"This one is rather complicated to answer, to produce the movement there are a few hurdles, the "hand engraver" can only do one movement per month (maximum) he is the best in Europe and the only one we use...our watchmakers are working overtime with our collection but to assemble a hand engraved, gold plated, modified movement as this one they have to take few day´s from the production line to finish, we have decided that this is a pet project that is more art than the "art of watchmaking" we have made bridges,mainplates....etc. for 10 movements witch we will finish within 12 months (hopefully) with four (4) watches already sold without a price tag, who knows' as long as I get one....and I want an enamel dial, hand painted please.

regards,
Julius"

You can see the whole thread about this model here on there company forum.
