Trying not to get too excited, but today seems to be a good day.

Bought some January call options on ACAS. Go, go speculation.

Speaking of stocks, what is your preferred brokerage to trade/sell/buy?

I use Tradeking. The price was just too good to resist.

The options tools seem pretty good though many of them are simply beyond my comprehension at this point. The trader community is pretty slick too.

I was feeling good before lunch, then when I came back it dropped more than 200 points =(

I have used etrade (IMO one of the best but fees were ridiculously high), have since moved to Scottrade. Basic and all but I gets the job done.

It won't buy me my DB9, but it brings me that much closer.

The business development companies are flying.

FIG

ALD

And my beloved ACAS

It's almost scary. I am probably going to buy some protective puts when/if it hits $5.00. I know that there's always a run up before earnings but I hope that they beat estimates tomorrow.

ACAS missed earnings by a nickel... is it time for damage control, or do I ride the wave? Maybe a little of both.

Big drop for ACAS.

I'm still wondering why you are holding on to ACAS, is it because you think it will go back to its record highs? That isn't a good reason but I don't have the legality to give out advices, just my opinion. Dividend is ~1.05 and forward P/E being 3.35. I dunno how deep you are in for ACAS but there are other more potent picks =)

Any more members that deal with stocks?

I've made quite a bit in the last couple of days... and I have some of the WORST picks.. the best of the worst being BAC, which I bought @ 5.60, and C(itigroup) which I bought @ 2.62.

SIRI(ius) is looking good on my portfolio too right about now...

Yeah, today was pretty colossal... The sale of Corrpro and Piper should push them to a solid Q2 but I am taking to time to assess the strategy. Though even with today's loss it's still up about 17% over the last 5 days and around 45% over the last 30. Had earnings come in in-line or better I'd be up near 250%. I bet way too long on them yesterday expecting solid earnings numbers. I picked up some $5 June calls which turned to dust.

Anyone know what the deal with FIG is?
