Sold my buddy. Bought another

This is just a regular Glock 22 not compensated. Since there is a lot of gun people here does anyone here mix their ammunition in their hand guns? I always mixed hollow points and FMJ ammunition in sequence one after another. Anyone else do that here?

Some quick pics

Why would you mix in the same mag? Is there some benefit that I am unaware of?

I keep two mags loaded at home...one with Glasers and one with JHPs, with the Glasers loaded at all times.

Yes please explain the purpose of point hollows and FMJ in sequence? Also curious to know how much did you purchase the G22 for?

The purpose is dual purpose ammunition for a dual purpose situation.

I paid $535.

I use the same exact ammunition in every firearm, every magazine, every caliber.

And if you're using ball ammunition, you're doing yourself a huge disservice.

Ammunition does it's job three ways: 1-transfering energy to the subject, 2-striking the central nervous system, or 3-causing organ shutdown via blood loss.

The ball ammo is more likely to be cause a through-and-through injury, and will not enlarge in size, therefore transferring little energy to the subject, and limiting what it will strike and what damage it will cause. A JHP round will open up and transfer more energy to the subject, and they nearly double in size so is twice as likely to hit a CNS body feature or cause enough damage to initiate organ shutdown.

^^^so as a cop... are there certain ammunitions you are allowed to use, or NOT allowed to use?? I am asking about your Duty weapon. Obviously JHP is your ammo of choice at home, but what about work???? Is there something on the market you would rather use, but not legally permitted to???

Cop talk....

I use FMJ rounds in my Ruger P90, I figure pumping 15 rounds at an intruder at close range will 1) transfer considerable energy 2) have a decent chance of causing central nervous system damage 3) turning them to Swiss cheese and therefore initiate organ failure through blood loss or 4) scare the living sh!t out of them!

The real reason, cause I'm cheap!
