Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009

Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009

It has already started....

Ammunition Accountability Legislation

Remember how Obama said that he wasn't going to take your guns? Well, it seems that his allies in the anti-gun world have no problem with taking your ammo!

The bill 20 that is being pushed in 18 states (including Illinois and Indiana ) requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacture a data base of all ammunition sales. So they will know how much you buy and what calibers.

Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded.

Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011. (Including hand loaded ammo.)

They will also charge a .05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more!

If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun!

This legislation is currently pending in 18 states: Alabama , Arizona , California , Connecticut , Hawaii , Illinois , Indiana , Kentucky , Maryland , Mississippi , Missouri , New Jersey , New York , Pennsylvania , Rhode Island , South Carolina , Tennessee , and Washington .

Send to your friends in these states AND fight to dissolve this BILL!!

To find more about the anti-gun group that is sponsoring this legislation and the specific legislation for each state, go to:

you have got to be kidding me! Esp. the part about "any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011".

If it passes in Indiana I'll just drive to Michigan (10 min away) and buy it there. Then again any stores right over the border will jack the price up.

I think arizona is too much of a gun state to let crap like this pass.

Why should anyone have to destroy their ammo? Thats B.S. if this passes (which hopefully it wont) at the very least they should have an exchange program.

I'm no gun nut like some folks on this forum, but even I find this messed up! I'll be damned if I throw ammo I purchased because of this stupid law! I'm all for them finding ways to account for firearms, and the people who purchase them to deter the criminal element, but this is not the way!!!

Sounds like total BS to me. KY has almost ZERO gun laws and you're trying to tell me they'll code ammo? Yawn.

Wanted to take the wife to the range yesterday. Went by Turner's Outdoorsman, Bass Pro Shops, Wal-Mart, and the gun range itself. NO ONE has any ammo (other than shotgun shells). Shelves are bare. The guy at Bass said that it goes out the door the minute they receive a shipment. Said some guy bought an entire pallet of .45 ammo before they could even put it out on the floor. What's going on?

Obama, that's wut...

Everyone's running scared. Buying everything they can get their hands on. Worried about "micro-stamping" of bullets and casings. This thing is being pushed with a lot of lobby money by the company that has a "laser micro etching" system for bullets and casings.

As it stands not just every bullet/casing in a box will have a unique bar code, but each and every bullet and casing MUST be different.

With the amount of ammo sold here, it begs the queston; will we need a new agency to keep track of all this crap? More government?

That site should really update their stuff. The bill in KY was withdrawn March 5th. Haha, knew that wasn't going to fly in this state
